The Hochrhein region is getting a full-service hospital — 55,000 m², permanently built, fully equipped. What's changed is how it gets built, and how much faster that means it opens. This page explains what that means for you.

The Difference

The same hospital. Delivered Sooner.

Large-scale hospital construction is complex. At 55,000 m², conventional methods alone can’t recover the time that’s been lost. So we changed the approach.
Two processes happen at once: the concrete base and core are built on site, while the upper-floor modules are manufactured off site — simultaneously. By the time the foundation is ready, the modules are too. This parallel workflow is what fundamentally changes the timeline, reducing construction time without compromising quality, safety, or performance.
The result: we recover the original schedule. Not approximately. Exactly.

What we bring

Faster. Better. And that's just the beginning.

Speed

A fully operational hospital in under 24 months. The years conventional construction consumes — returned to the people who needed care yesterday.

Certainty Fixed cost

Fixed timeline. No surprises. Exactly what the reform demands and what conventional construction has consistently failed to deliver.

Quality Built and certified

in a controlled environment before it reaches the site. A hospital that performs better, adapts easier, and lasts longer.

Adaptability

As communities grow and medicine evolves, the building grows with them. Modular hospitals are never finished — they are always ready for what comes next.

FAQ

Ja – in vollem Umfang.

FAQ

Yes — fully. The 55,000 m² programme is unchanged: operating theatres, isolation rooms with negative pressure, dialysis, pharmacy, diagnostics, CT and radiology, and full inpatient wards. The modules arrive pre-equipped with ventilation, cooling, and medical infrastructure. Nothing has been removed from scope.

No. The VHCHD Medical Modules used in this project are permanent, certified hospital buildings. They are approved by Germany’s DIBt (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik), fire-rated to F90, and ISO certified. They are designed for decades of continuous hospital operation — not temporary use.

Modular construction trades some upfront cost for significantly reduced schedule risk. Factory production means fixed costs and predictable delivery — unlike conventional construction, where delays compound and costs follow. Getting the hospital open two years earlier also has real value for the community it serves.

Yes. The architectural concept is fully preserved. The hybrid approach changes how the building is assembled. It does not change what it looks like or how it functions.

Because health cannot afford to lose time — modular hospital construction combines speed, quality, and adaptability. For healing, in an architecture that thinks ahead.
