Modern
Healthcare
for
every
Guyanese
Family
VAMED+WWH is here — delivering the hospitals, the expertise, and the community support that Guyana's mothers, children, and families deserve.
VAMED+WWH brings over 40 years of global hospital delivery experience and a new generation of modular healthcare solutions to Guyana. We believe that geographic location, distance, and infrastructure should never stand between a Guyanese family and quality care.
About Us
Redefining what a hospital can be — and where it can go
In 2025, WWH — Worldwide Hospitals Group — acquired the international project business of VAMED Engineering, one of the world’s most experienced hospital builders with over 1,000 completed projects across 96 countries. That combination created VAMED+WWH: a company that pairs decades of global hospital delivery with a new generation of smart, adaptable and flexible healthcare technology.
Vamed+WWH
Medical modules
VAMED+WWH designs and manufactures hospital-grade medical buildings using proprietary VHCHD Medical Modules — pre-fabricated in European facilities, fully equipped, and built to rigorous medical and regulatory standards. These are not temporary structures. They are permanent, certified healthcare buildings that can be configured, expanded, and adapted to meet the specific needs of any community, anywhere.
The demand for this approach has never been greater
12.5% of the Guyana’s population has no access to any form of healthcare
Non-communicable diseases lead Guyana’s deaths at 822 per 100,000, being the highest in cardiovascular mortality in the Americas
The workforce underpinning the system is critically stretched. With just 1.4 physicians per 1,000 people

The barriers are not only clinical – they are structural. VAMED+WWH closes the gap.
In Guyana, that mission is personal. We are here not just to build hospitals, but to help build a healthcare system that serves every mother, every child, and every community — from Georgetown to the most remote hinterland regions.

In close coordination with the Government of Guyana, we are working to deliver what was promised to the Guyanese people. We remain fully committed to delivering these projects with a clear focus on quality, continuity, and long-term impact.
VAMED+WWH and the Guyanese government are actively working toward revised completion schedules for both projects following the ownership transition from VAMED Engineering. We are committed to delivering on what was promised to the Guyanese people.

Because the journey to a healthy baby begins long before the hospital doors open
VAMED+WWH believes that healthcare is not just about buildings — it is about the people those buildings serve. While our hospitals are being completed, we are taking action now.
Through our One Click = One Kit programme, every visit to this page helps provide a maternal and newborn care kit to a Guyanese family in need. Each kit supports a mother and her newborn through the most important window of their lives — the 1,000 days from pregnancy through a child’s second birthday.
What's in a kit
for mama:
- Prenatal vitamins and postnatal nutritional support
- Guidance and resources for the journey through pregnancy, birth, and the months that follow
for baby:
- Bassinet
- Clothing, diapers, and wipes
- The essentials for a healthy, safe start to life
We are partnering with established local and international organizations to distribute kits directly to Guyanese families across all regions. Our distribution partners will be announced shortly.
