The Friendship Hospital in Vientiane is one of Laos’ leading public healthcare and teaching facilities. As part of the national hospital upgrade program, VAMED delivered the country’s first MRI and implemented the first radiotherapy department during Phase 1. The project included a turnkey radiotherapy building, equipment supply, and extensive training and start-up support. The hospital specializes in orthopaedics, neurology, and kidney disease treatment, and serves as Laos’ primary university teaching and research hospital—marking a significant advancement in the nation’s medical capabilities.
