Following its separation from An Giang Central Hospital, An Giang Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Pediatrics Hospital faced outdated equipment, leading to patient referrals to Ho Chi Minh City and reduced care quality for women and children. To address this, VAMED was selected under an Austrian soft loan scheme to modernize the hospital’s equipment, supporting the province’s socio-economic development plan. The project includes delivery and installation of 601 medical units across key departments, including Neonatology, Pediatrics, ICU, Imaging, IVF, and Surgery. Most equipment will be housed in a new nine-story Pediatric Building, enhancing care for vulnerable groups in the region.
